Kitchener council needs to take a tougher approach on air quality and pollution. Politicians take water quality seriously due to what happened in Walkerton.

Wood fires in backyards were never a good idea. Kitchener is attached to Waterloo so how is that supposed to work? I vote for the ban.

Most people do not smoke and we are protected from the smoke. Campfires in backyards make people sick, and should not be allowed.

People who can't sit outside in their backyards without a smoky fire going should get used to the idea of going camping again. These fires should be banned from Kitchener backyards.

Smoky backyard fires in a city this size are ridiculous and a horribly bad decision on the part of Kitchener council. Public health hazard.

Kitchener has an environmental policy, and council is accountable for the pollution from these backyard fires if they vote to allow this stupidity.

Waterloo and Cambridge have both banned these backyard fires. Kitchener should do so as well.
