Culture is a very important part of our province.

Arts funding is an investment, not a handout. Brad- you subsidize Oil and Potash gladly, despite their deep pockets, and they move that capital out of province. Arts funding keeps the investment here.

This tax credit doesn't cost the province anything. It generates revenue. Perhaps Brad Wall should move to Toronto to get a job!!

The arts is Saskatchewan's most valuable resource

It is so important that more than one point of view is heard and discussed. The film industry is more than just a pretty picture, documentaries explore life as it is...its not time to close our eyes... we need to see reality from a Canadian point of view but not just the CBC. Independent film companies enrich our Canadian mosaic.
7062Bobbielee Watrin
It's always a bad idea to cut funding to the arts, especially right now when Saskatchewan is in such a boom right now! Don't let our creative types go to other provinces, or worse, other countries because of this.

I am not an economist nor a politician but I believe that creating employment make more sens than creating unemployment .

I am a second year film student and the University of Regina. If you take away the province's tax credit, I will have no choice but to move after I graduate.
7066Dimitris Arvanitis
Dear Mr. Wall,

Saskatchewan's ROI is almost 100% guaranteed. Economically, it's worth every cent of investment. It is a resource that will grow and provide economic, social, and cultural benefits for all.

Best Regards,
Dimitris Arvanitis

Please do your homework Mr. Wall, you are extremely mis-informed
7068Leslie Tutty
As a native from Saskatchewan it is so important to support the film industry.
7069Bruce Hunter
The short sighted stand point of the decision does not benefit the province and its citizens.

This is a huge step in the wrong direction. The entire film arts community will suffer and be forced to either give up their passion or move away to chase their dream.

Please reconsider.

It only makes sense to reverse this decision, these cuts will only hurt the province, financially and otherwise. It is so obvious, do the research and apply the logic.

We have a future in the film industry. Let's keep it that way!
7079Kerri Geisel
A very short-sighted decision that will negatively impact Saskatchewan in many ways.

Revenue easily exceeds tax breaks. And that revenue is enjoyed by hundreds of businesses. In an era where you were elected to create jobs it is ridiculous that instead you are ending jobs.

Successful cities have the most creative and dynamic arts program that Regina will lack if this goes through.

Foster an identity, support our community, attract people. This cut will hurt more than we know.
7094Dana Anjali
I can't understand this decision to cut the tax credit. It is a hardship for anyone employed in the film industry or who has benefited from the business generated from it. Saskatchewan also loses out. Please reconsider!
7095Jocelyn Oddo
7096Lori Hallas
I will never understand why the conservatives in this country are so determined to destroy our culture. I have watched almost everyone I know lose jobs and leave the province as the sask party has dismantled our film industry. It's really very sad.

7098Mitchel Wolos

As someone who has been employed in the television industry and is using that money to pay for a university education, I can tell you that supporting the arts means supporting the rest of the economy and your population at large.

Another fiesta of shortsightedness and mediocrity. Let's remind this government it was elected to promote THE WELL-BEING of all Saskatchewanites.
