another stupid decision!
2154Alberto Ortiz
Don't cut the funding

This proposal is the best example of a lose-lose proposition I've ever seen. The province loses valuable inward investment and jobs; creative people and their families lose the option to stay in Saskatchewan.

$623 million return on a $100 million investment sounds good to me. It would ludicrous to eliminate the SFETC.
2159Dwayne Yasinowski
Why would the Sask Party force out an industry that gives so much to the province in culture and economic benefit. Doesn't make sense.

Don't elimanate something that is of importance to so many

An ill-thought decision based on what seems a lack of understanding how this tax credit works and what its demise will mean to the talented people who make quality, world-class productions. Please reconsider.

keep the funding

culture is important to all people. it brings needed income into communities and it keeps local talent in the community instead of forcing them out...like doctors leaving because they can't find work. very short sighted decision of the gov't

The Film Industry needs this tax credit to keep hard working people employed.

Transparency-seeking media tends to bite the hand that feeds, ergo stop feeding. 6:1 spending:investment? Not on Wall's watch.
2179Erin Grzybowski
I'm originally from Saskatchewan and I'm an actress...save the film industry!!
2180Lee Fiddler
2181Deb Schaffer
Stupid move by SkParty. Another indication that they are running our gov't without any research, planning and forethought into what they are doing to all Sk residents on ALL issues not just this one. Mr. Wall has again cemented his resignation with this.
2182samantha tomilin
save the arts!
2183Ray Ramayya
A revenue neutral program axed. It sucks.
Reversing decisions is a good thing and should be done soon..very soon...very very soon to get our youth working, working hard.
2184cherie ries
people wonder why i really dislike Brad Wall as premier- another colossial mistake at the expense of the taxpayers, who may now lose potiental revenue, tourism, and jobs- obviously no one in his family is in the arts-
2185Grant Arngrimson
The Film industry grows on reputation.
2186Jaya R
Its not believable that a good program is axed. Do the honourable thing, bring it back in a program format that suits this government.
2187Tyler Kalmakoff
Dear Brad Wall, You shouldn't cut jobs in a surplus. It's the best way to lose votes.
2188Dave Chobot
Keeping the arts, of any kind, alive in this province should be mandatory. Saskatchewan has a reputation in Canada as a province filled with music and artistic talent of all kinds. Please don't stifle this more than it already is.
2189Aimee Whitbread
Keep the arts alive in Saskatchewan.
2190Judy Filipkowski
Like everything else, we need independent people who ensure that art is not lost in the hustle. We need these people!
2191B A Freed
Time to stand up for The Arts!
2192Hillary Lam
Please save the film industry because is affecting my loved ones.
2193Peter Grier
Why should we be the only province without this credit? I thought our economy was booming. I thought you wanted to keep industry in Saskatchewan
2194Crystal N
2195Jay Gould
Very disappointed in the Sask party. This industry is huge for the province. Jobs, revenue, tourism, and world exposure.
2196Rosemary McCallum
this is a very misinformed decision. not a logical move for the province
2197lydia belanger
Please keep sask film makers home.

The film industry is a such a unique feature of Saskatchewan, supporting local business and artists!!!
2200J. M. Bernier
Brad Wall's SkPty gov't decision to cut the Saskatchewan Film Employment Tax Credit is just plain bad business. The investment of $100M since the SFETC's inception has returned $623M & nearly 2,000 jobs to the province. Kill the SFETC = kill the industry!
