The tax credit brought this industry—and investment—into this province. It is no different than the many subsidies that our resource sector receives. Removing this credit drives business elsewhere & SK loses out. Wrongheaded.
2952Jennifer Olson-Ross
These jobs are important!
2953Catherine Verrall
Being new to Sask I feel that the film industry is one of the most exciting and rewarding parts of life here. If you eliminate the film industry, there will be no taxes anyway. This seems not a cutting of "costs" but a refusal to accept income.

It is another way Saskatchewan has been put on the map with the film industry and has contributed to the ecoomic prosperity that we are enjoying.

the film industry has put Sask on the map! Don't ruin it!

As a student studying film in another province, this decision ensures I will never be able to return home to work as I always hoped. Why would any young person want to live in a province with such a disrespect for the arts?
2965Gillian Sernich
I can't believe this was thought through very well.It sure flies in the face of Mr. Wall's boasting about Saskatchewan as the growth province. I am proud to live here -- don't make us looks like a hick province.
2966Diana Gamble
Why take something like this away when it has been so wonderful for our province.

I'm in the oil and gas industry and feel the effects of tax credits for my industry. Why on earth would you want to send people away that bring a positive saskatchewan needed people and jobs? Makes no sense whatsoever and sets a terrible precedent

Please reconsider this decision. The relatively small cost earns a very good return, and the investment is critical to the survival of this important arts industry.
2977Maureen Erlendson
Reconsider the ill advised elimination of the film tax credit.
2978Darin Lanigan
eliminating the credit kills the industry and will drive hundreds out of the province to find work. That's real progress Mr. Wall!
2979Shawn Fraser
This has kept my brother in the province working on quality Canadian films.
2980Koren Arychuk
To cut this tax credit would support the cutting of education, communication and employment... clearly all positive aspects to the growth of our economy.

The film industry helped support a family of 6 for 15 years. I want to live in a province where arts and those that work in the arts are cherished and supported. Is that province Saskatchewan?
2997Marc Yakichuk

From a Manitoba producer: I don't understand this decision that will surely mean an exodus of creative talent and Saskatchewan stories left untold. Please reconsider.
2999Leona Martin
Keep our creative talent in this Province.....

Small industry with huge impact. SFETC is a great ROI for the province.
