RCC Dean\'s List - Proposed Change To RCC District Policy

We, the students of Riverside Community College, do hereby petition the RCC District to change the wording of District policy regarding inclusion onto the Dean\'s List to say the following:

"Any student with 6 or more gradeable credits and a GPA of 3.0 or higher will be included on the RCC District\'s Dean\'s List"

We the students, feel current policy is unfair to those taking under 12 gradeable credits, but are still maintaining a 3.0 or higher GPA. In changing the wording of District policy, we feel it will foster a new degree of academic competition among the students and will make academic recognition more meaningful.
