Bike lanes in Red Deer
Please re-think the pilot project of new bike lanes in Red Deer. Our bike season is much too short to waste on a small number of cyclists. Our vehicle traffic needs to be improved not decreased. There are already many beautiful paths in Red Deeer to suffice. Please reverse this ridiculous decision !!!!

Bikes could share the road before. Now all we gained is the reduction of 1 car lane. Cars account for 99.999% of the road traffic. Catering to the few is a failure!

1) Get rid of the bike lanes for all of the aforementioned reasons.
2) get rid of city council including the mayor. Oh silly me. This should be number 1.

The bike lanes are dangerous and ridiculous AND slow traffic significantly. Are we now all supposed to turn right out of the CENTER lane and block all traffic because we can't pull over into the "bike lane" to turn??? Stupidest thing I have ever seen

I have seen 4 adults use these bike lanes. Still see more people use the sidewalks because they are smarter than city counsel and don't want to get injured on those pathetic bike lanes.

These bike lanes are just going to kill more people!! If I was to ride my bike I do not trust the people of red deer to ride on the road next to them. It's just a waste of money because we can only bike for like 4 months of the year if we are lucky!!

This project addresses the needs of less than 1% of the population of Red Deer.Ride on the sidewalks for the 4 months you can use your bike.

i've lived in red deer for the past 20 yrs and i have never seen traffic be so congested. these bike lanes have been such a nuisance, they are ill advised and not even remotely needed. we have beautiful bike paths through out the city.

We have enough traffic flow concerns without adding bike lanes to the scenario. Remove the bike lanes. Public should be allowed to vote on decisions such as this.

No need for these lanes. Use the sidewalks with safety rules...bells, etc. Big waste of tax payer's money.

Scraap them totally they are a needless waste of the taxpayers money. If you cant put bike paths in away from mainstream traffic forget about the whole idea. One of the dumbest ideas the current council has come up with since the last election.

Although I signed the other petition I, too, think it's not asking enough. I would like the bike lanes totally removed. Could our glorious Mayor and councillors who voted this in please reimburse us out of their council cheques for wasted tax money.

Ryan's petition doesn't go far enough. I want the bike lanes scrapped altogether. Not needed!!!!
